Delicious white cake cupcake recipe.




  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup milk



Stir flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. In another bowl, cream shortening, adding in sugar gradually, beating well between additions. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend together well. Scoop batter into prepared cupcake cups. Bake at 350degrees F for 20-25 minutes. Frost as desired. Makes 2 dozen medium sized cupcakes.
