Traditional sour cream recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream

 

TOPPING:

  • 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. butter, melted
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar

 

Instructions:

 

TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together.

 

CAKE: Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Add sour cream and blend. Pour 1/2 of batter in bottom greased and floured tube pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of topping. Repeat with remaining batter and topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done.
