Tasty and healthy snack recipe!




  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped, unpeeled all-purpose apple
  • Powdered sugar, if desired



Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, applesauce, oil and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir in apple.


Spread batter in ungreased square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches. Bake 25 to 30minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool.


Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
