Silicone Bakeware

Product quality is extremely important to us. We make sure that all of our products are manufactured using high quality materials and meet FDA and LFGB standards. When we use silicone in our production process, we always make sure it is 100% pure food grade silicone. Below you can read more about it.

100% Pure Food Grade Silicone & 100% BPA Free

Silicone is synthetic rubber made of bonded silicon, a natural element found in sand, and oxygen. According to the US Food and Drug Administration, silicone is inert, meaning that it does not react with other compounds or release unsafe compounds when heated.

Research shows that food grade silicone does not react with food or drinks or produce any hazardous fumes. Silicone is not toxic to aquatic or soil organisms, it is not hazardous waste, and while it is not biodegradable, it can be recycled after a lifetime of use.

However, do make sure to choose products made from 100% pure food grade silicone. This is the case wilth all Belgoods Bakeware products. Cheaper brands often use plastic fillers. Fillers can compromise the quality and durability of silicone and may cause odor during baking. You can test this yourself by doing the “pinch and twist” test, just twist a bit of the silicone. If it turns whitish, it’s got plastic fillers. Pure silicone will retain its color.
